The fires ravaging San Diego County are expected to get much worse before they get better. "This fire will probably be the worst this county has ever seen – worse than the Cedar fire," Sheriff Bill Kolender said.

At least seven fires fueled by strong gusting winds burned structures and forced the evacuation of thousands of residents throughout the county. The Witch fire, pushed by strong Santa Ana winds, roars west Monday morning across Rancho Bernardo and Poway, destroying hundreds of structures and forcing thousands of people from their homes.
