The Arlington Independent School District, which passed on airing President Barack Obama's live classroom address, has announced that some students will be bussed off campus to hear a message from former President George W. Bush on Sept. 21.

"Arlington school officials said they wouldn’t show [Obama's address] live because they didn’t want to interrupt lessons," and, on a related note, appear to be fullas#i+.

Everyone: unhinged (cont'd)
HOUSTON (shocking!) — President Obama's plan to deliver a speech to public school students on Tuesday has set off a revolt among conservative parents, who have accused the president of trying to indoctrinate their children with socialist ideas and are asking school officials to excuse the children from listening.
The uproar over the speech, in which Mr. Obama intends to urge students to work hard and stay in school, has been particularly acute in Texas, where several major school districts, under pressure from parents, have laid plans to let children opt out of lending the president an ear...
Mark Steyn, a Canadian author and political commentator, speaking on the Rush Limbaugh show on Wednesday, accused Mr. Obama of trying to create a cult of personality, comparing him to Saddam Hussein and Kim Jong-il, the North Korean leader.
The Republican Party chairman in Florida, Jim Greer, said he "was appalled that taxpayer dollars are being used to spread President Obama’s socialist ideology.”
And Chris Stigall, a Kansas City talk show host, said, "I wouldn’t let my next-door neighbor talk to my kid alone; I’m sure as hell not letting Barack Obama talk to him alone."

Question of the Day
So how does everyone feel about potentially losing Texas to secession? Or succession as commenters on CNN felt like they should call it?
Used 4 outta 5 Texas labels on dat one. Hey K-Mad, we haven't done a label count in a while have we?

hey, don't blame John Hagee, he didn't write it -- Jeremiah wrote it
Going in and out of biblical verse, Hagee preached: "'And they the hunters should hunt them,' that will be the Jews. 'From every mountain and from every hill and from out of the holes of the rocks.' If that doesn't describe what Hitler did in the holocaust you can't see that."
He goes on: "Theodore Hertzel is the father of Zionism. He was a Jew who at the turn of the 19th century said, this land is our land, God wants us to live there. So he went to the Jews of Europe and said 'I want you to come and join me in the land of Israel.' So few went that Hertzel went into depression. Those who came founded Israel; those who did not went through the hell of the holocaust.
"Then god sent a hunter. A hunter is someone with a gun and he forces you. Hitler was a hunter. And the Bible says—Jeremiah writing—'They shall hunt them from every mountain and from every hill and from the holes of the rocks,' meaning there's no place to hide. And that might be offensive to some people but don't let your heart be offended. I didn't write it, Jeremiah wrote it. It was the truth and it is the truth. How did it happen? Because God allowed it to happen. Why did it happen? Because God said my top priority for the Jewish people is to get them to come back to the land of Israel."

He is not a perfect man, he has made mistakes in his life. Also, he's a lying cheat and a HYOOOGE, GIGANTIC @$$HOLE.
Roger Clemens issued a statement Sunday night apologizing for mistakes in his personal life.
Clemens took the opportunity to once again deny his use of performance enhancing drugs, and also claimed that reports he dated a 15-year-old Mindy McCready were untrue. "I know that many people want to know what I have to say about the recent articles in the media. Even though these articles contain many false accusations and mistakes, I need to say that I have made mistakes in my personal life for which I am sorry. I have apologized to my family and apologize to my fans. Like everyone, I have flaws. I have sometimes made choices which have not been right," Clemens said.
''I believe my personal life has nothing to do with the accusations of steroid and HGH use,'' he said in the statement. ''I have already made clear that I did not use them.''
That settles it for me...
Also, on da plus side, none of mistresses are dead or missing (that we know of).

i am shocked... SHOCKED... that this happened in Texas
Man arrested in Texas for trying to cash $360 billion check
FORT WORTH, Texas - Charles Ray Fuller must have been planning one big record company. The 21-year-old North Texas man was arrested last week for trying to cash a $360 billion check, saying he wanted to start a record business. Tellers at the Fort Worth bank were immediately suspicious — perhaps the 10 zeros on a personal check tipped them off.

here's anudder query
"I live in Ohio or Texas, am I brain-dead?"
But much of Obama's traffic is about topics he'd rather avoid. Yahoo! analyst Vera H-C Chan says people in Ohio and Texas are still scouting out rumors about Obama, as reflected in queries like "barack obama muslim," "obama's church," "obama antichrist," "barack obama muslim school," and the straightforward question, "is obama a christian or a muslim?"
