but they make good toothpaste
Syracuse 86, Colgate 51
Syracuse jumped to an early 17-2 lead less than five minutes into the contest with Harris and Flynn accounting for 15 of that total. Flynn started the barrage by opening the game with a three and then quickly followed with a zzzzzzzzzzzzzz........

>Electoral College Prediction Map - Predict the winner of the general election. Use the map to experiment with winning combinations of states. Save your prediction and send it to friends.
a global @ss-kicking
Dear Reader,
The results of our Global Electoral College are in. Barack Obama has won the election by a landslide...
Some 52,000 readers from across the globe voted, with 44,000 voting in favour of Mr Obama...
Mr Obama ended with 9,115 delegates, compared with just 203 for Mr McCain.
Mr McCain picked up support in some unusual places, including at various points in the poll, Andorra, Macedonia, El Salvador and Georgia. But in the end, just four countries fell to him (and by narrow margins): Iraq, Cuba, Algeria and Congo.

he's also the taller monkey - a lot taller
I think people really are missing the point about McCain's failure to look at Obama. McCain was afraid of Obama. It was really clear--look at how much McCain blinked in the first half hour. I study monkey behavior--low ranking monkeys don't look at high ranking monkeys. In a physical, instinctive sense, Obama owned McCain tonight and I think the instant polling reflects that.
McCain's strangest statements of the night: Alexander the Great, Ike's letters (what the phokk was that?), South Koreans are taller than North Koreans (really, has he lost his mind?)...

will there be savage retribution?
Those loyal to the Clintons take note of those who were not
"The Clintons get hundreds of requests for favors every week," said Terry "Fullas#i+" McAuliffe, the chairman of Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign. "Clearly, the people you're going to do stuff for in the future are the people who have been there for you."
McAuliffe, who knows of Band's diligent scorekeeping, emphasized that "revenge is not what the Clintons are about." The accounting is more about being practical, he said, adding, "You have to keep track of this."
Band, who declined to comment, is hardly alone in tallying those considered to have crossed the former candidate or the former president in recent months by supporting Obama. As the Obama bandwagon has swelled, so have the lists of people Clinton loyalists regard as some variation of "ingrate," "traitor" or "enemy," according to the associates and campaign officials, who would speak only on condition of anonymity.

the squirrels are very angry, my friends (cont'd)
PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Matt Morris nearly outdid his slugging teammates.
Morris allowed only a single over six innings and had a career-best three hits to lead the San Francisco Giants to a 13-0 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday night.
Fred Lewis hit his first career grand slam, and Ray Durham and Pedro Feliz both hit three-run shots for the Giants. Barry Bonds was 1-for-2 with two walks and stayed stuck on 746 career homers, 10 shy of breaking Hank Aaron's record.
