Lucky you guys: Smiff in da house AGAIN!

Dat's right, Smiff will be in Chicago in July for ALA. Probably arriving the 7th or 8th and staying through until like 17th or 18th. I should be staying in the loop in a hotel from the 10th-13th with a couple colleagues. But the rest of the time I AM ALL YOURS. Who wants to get in on this excellent s#i+ blowing up (soon) opportunity and put Smiff up for a few days?

Smiff in Da City Dat Works (update)

Ok, you've had time to make plans and to get out of town. If you're still going to be around Thurs-Tues, you only have yourself to blame. And Fung must have had too many Sprites to have me crash at his place (his fault for having an extra room). First things first, who can pick up Smiff at Midway on Thursday night and deliver him to the Fungster? My flight gets in at 10:15pm on Southwest. Hey, take Friday off and we can head straight to the bars.

Stuff to do (mostly eating and drinking):
Hop Leaf - probably Sat. night - K-Mad, Mary is in town, right?

I'm going to look into plane tickets for a Chicago pilgrimage sometime after Oct 5th thru maybe Veteran's Day weekend. So let me know if you will NOT be in town during that time, and i will plan accordingly. I don't want any, "Oh, i forgot i was going on an African safari then...sorry"--K-Mad, after the fact.

I will also be looking for lodging. Is Corms' new place habitable? How about Fung's deluxe apartment in the sky?

Smiff in Chicago redux

I think i'm going to plan for another weekend seeing as 1) Sarge says he will be around for the summer and 2) K-Mad went ahead and planned a trip despite my explicit instructions (i wonder if he has trouble finding his ass wiff boff hands sometimes? ok, all the time). Also, it's about $100 more to fly over 4th of July weekend. Plus, i'm an AmeriCANT and really should be flying on the most nationalist holiday. I also don't like fireworks.

Still trying to figure out a trip to Florida as well, and that's looking like late July/early Aug. I suppose the Phillies/Cubs series (a preview of the playoffs??) over the last weekend of August has been sold out for months.

Anyway, let me know when you might be gone for the rest of the summer and i'll try to plan accordingly.

Also, don't all volunteer at once for letting me crash somewhere. Perhaps, Corms' swinging bachelor pad will be up and running by July? Udderwise, i may have to stay at a motel with hourly rates. Or pitch a tent in Grant Park. Stay wiff Da Mare, sumpfing...

Smiff to invade Chicago??

Is everyone going to be around over the 4th of July weekend? I'm thinking of the 3rd thru the 7th or 8th. Since flights are out the wazoo now, i want to make it a very long weekend ($450 the last i checked). Also, who can put Smiff up? Decker claimed he may be there dat weekend (and remaining WC funds will help fund my trip:)
