Decker betrothed?
Andy Roddick won at love – he is engaged to swimsuit model Brooklyn Decker.
The 25-year-old tennis star met Decker in New York last year and proposed to him in early March, his Web site said yesterday.
“With their hectic travel schedules, Andy and Brooklyn plan to enjoy their engagement and will wait to set a wedding date,” the site said.
Roddick is ranked No. 6 on the ATP Tour and is competing in the Sony Ericsson Open in Key Biscayne, Fla. Decker has appeared in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue and is a New York City school teacher.
I haven't seen Decker in a while, but either he has had significant "work done," or Sports Illustrated airbrush the shit out of their photos. (And they must have caught him on a Monday, aka "shaving day.") And couldn't he have done better than a "never reached his potential" like Roddick for, say, Smiff? Brooklyn, call me!

Shocking News!
Cole Hamels won't start Sunday as planned after experiencing elbow soreness during a bullpen session Thursday. Thanks, Decker! The Phillies are still trying (lying) to pass this off as a minor issue. "There's nothing structurally wrong; the ligament's attached," assistant GM Ruben Amaro Jr. said. "We have no reason to believe this to be anything long term." Except for the fact that he's a 23-year-old pitcher with a history of serious arm issues, and Decker owns him (thanks again!). Hamels described the discomfort as minimal (this is known as a lie). He's to be shut down for another six days, so even in a best-case scenario, he'll make just three or four starts next month. And the kicker is: Awful Adam Eaton will pitch Sunday in his place. Expect plenty of s#i+ blowing up.

Rotoworld should contact us to let them know whose careers will be destroyed by Decker & K-Mad
They both own dis poor guy...
Felix Hernandez was tagged for six runs and 13 hits in seven innings Wednesday in a loss to the Angels. That's a career high for hits allowed. Amazingly, the league is batting .286 against King Felix this season. It's simply remarkable that someone with his stuff can get hit so often. He's been a solid starter anyway, but he should be so much better.

Doesn't Decker need a WR?
Craphonso Thorpe leads the Colts in preseason receiving with 11 catches for 111 yards and two TDs. He's averaged 13.8 yards-per-punt return. It still may not be enough to earn Thorpe a spot on the roster. The Colts have strong depth at wideout and T.J. Rushing is in line to return punts.

there's a 100% chance it will land on a Cyclone
News Item: NASA expects a 1,400-pound ammonia tank from the international space station to fall out of orbit in 10 to 12 months, with pieces as heavy as 39 pounds surviving re-entry, but says there is only a 1-in-5,000 chance of the pieces hitting anyone. That is about the same chance a golfer has of hitting a hole in one. In other news, a blind woman hit a hole in one at a Pennsylvania country club over the weekend . . .

little does he know Decker owns him
mattymatty2000 (Philly, PA): Now that Hughes and Chamberlain are in the majors, who is your favorite pitching prospect in the minors?
Kevin Goldstein: Clayton Kershaw.

a Cyclone career to end as a teenager...that's a record
Justin Upton made his big league debut Thursday against the Padres, entering the game in the eighth inning as a defensive replacement.
Upton played right field for an inning and then fouled out leading off the ninth inning in his lone at-bat. He figures to play regularly in right field going forward with Carlos Quentin on the disabled list, but Jeff DaVanon started there Thursday.

Pathetic
The Cubs couldn't score ONE run off Antonio AlfonSUCKO, Joe Table, or J.C. "The Wild Thing" Romero, who couldn't find his ass with one hand, never mind two. At that point, the game should have been called with the Phillies declared the victors.
Oh yeah, Brett Myers: SUCKS. He appears terminally infected by the Decker-K-Mad Suckiest Suck That Ever Sucked Disease, which is incurable. Thanks a lot.
