Exactly.

Sarah Palin and Issues of Pregnancy, Abortion, Abstinence, HIV.
By: bluegal @ 4:20 PM - PDT
This blog deliberately did not cover the internet rumors that have absorbed so many this weekend. None of the children of any political candidate should be held under vicious and unfounded media scrutiny.
That Sarah Palin’s campaign
blamed liberal bloggers for “forcing her” to announce the pregnancy of her 17-year-old daughter is another atrocious lie following her “bridge to nowhere” funding flip-flop. The rumor that Palin’s fifth pregnancy was “well-disguised” came directly from a fellow Alaska Republican, State Senate President Lyda Green.
A great many young people in our country become pregnant or worse, contract a sexually transmitted disease, every day. We have nothing to say about the young Palin and her unfortunate situation.
We have a great deal to say about the Republican Party and its POLICIES regarding sex education, reproductive choice, HIV prevention, and let’s not forget their complete hypocrisy regarding homosexuality and civil rights. Sarah Palin’s stands on these ISSUES are contrary to feminism, the health of our young people, and everyday common sense.
Is it a surprise to anyone that Sarah Palin
is an advocate of abstinence-only programs, and opposed sex education in Alaska’s schools?
The New Republic reports that
earlier this year Palin “used her line-item veto to slash funding for a state program benefiting teen mothers in need of a place to live.”
Again, this is not about Sarah Palin’s daughter. Although it would be if she were homeless, Governor.
It is about a government that has failed to make responsible decisions regarding public health policy, and the completely irresponsible positions the Republican Party takes on those issues.
Sarah Palin should be ashamed, because she is a Republican.

McCain picks anudder winner...

Gay-Bashing Alabama A.G. Caught Having Gay Sex?

Wonkette:

This may come as a shock, but a prominent anti-homosexual Republican attorney general has apparently been caught having homosexual sex intercourse with his homosexual gay male assistant. Bonus: The dude’s wife caught him, in their bed. This is the rumor that the AG’s office has officially denied, so now of course everybody is spilling the sordid details.

AG in question is Troy King, who, of course, is only interested in outlawing homosexuality and sex toys. His gay lover is either a college “buddy,” or a very young youngster and “Homecoming King” from Troy University. What are the odds of a dude named Troy King getting caught in bed with a Homecoming King from Troy University? This seems like a wacky sitcom plot, on a gay porn channel. (Is this what that Will & Grace was about?) Read on…

King, (pictured above, seated on the left) the State Chairman of John McCain’s Alabama campaign, joined a number of Attorneys General who supported the GOP presidential candidate this past spring and the following is a quote from King on John McCain’s campaign website:

Alabama is a state where actions definitely speak louder than words,” said King. “More than just talk, John McCain’s strong record of support for state rights, and his devotion to the conservative principles of protecting life and the institution of marriage make him the right leader for Alabama.”

Yes, Mr. King, actions certainly do speak louder than words. I wish I could I could take credit for writing something this hilarious, but I can’t. It appears King has made a few enemies during his tenure in Alabama as well.

Huckabee: Fullas#i+? Or just an @$$hole?

What Would Jesus Dodge?

Comment #7:
What really grinds my gears about Huckabee's answer, and the media's rapturous response, is that capital punishment is one of the "WWJD" questions where we actually know the answer. Jesus was, basically, asked by the Pharisees whether he supported executing an adultress, and his response was the famous "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" line. So, Jesus? Basically a "no" on the whole capital punishment thing.

Yet here was have Huckabee, who practically preens over his theology degree and the centrality of his Christian faith, punting on an easy WWJD question. All because the more bloodthirsty part of his base doesn't want to hear the real answer...

Kentucky: the new Sodom and/or Gomorrah

Smiff tried to warn em...

Beshear routs Fletcher in the race for governor of Kentucky

Hello friends this is Pat Boone a fellow Kentuckian by descent from grandaddy Dan’l. I’ve always been proud of Kentucky’s stance on patriotic, military and moral issues; a great heritage. Now, as an American and a Christian I am very conservative about the upcoming governor’s election. Ernie Fletcher is a typical Kentuckian, he’s worked long and hard for the state, its people, and its traditions. And, of course, he has come under attack by political opponents and now he faces a man who wants his job who has consistently supported every homosexual cause: same sex marriage, gay adoption, special rights, to gay, lesbian, bisexual, even transgender individuals.

The problem (inaudible [probably something dirty]) gay advocacy groups (inaudible [probably something DELIGHTFULLY filthy]) enthusiastically endorse Beshear, knowing he’s their guy. Kentuckians have already voted to amend the state constitution to prohibit same sex marriage. Now, do you want governor who’d like Kentucky to be like another San Francisco? (Apparently so -- ed.) Please reelect Ernie Fletcher.

This message paid for by the Kentucky Republican Party. Now go phokk yourself.

It's official: Pat Boone is gay

It shouldn't be long before he's caught in a mens' room making a gay porno while smoking crack...

Pat Boone: Hating the Gay

The Republican Party of Kentucky has created a robo-call advertising campaign featuring singer Pat Boone warning that the election of Democratic gubernatorial nominee Steven Beshear will put a governor in office who supports “every homosexual cause.”

Republican hypocrites sure know how to have fun

Crossdressing Republican Lawmaker Admits Sexual Encounter With Male Escort

The police report contains an account of how Curtis allegedly donned women’s clothing, red stockings and a black sequined lingerie top before engaging in a sex act at the store. He then continued to wear them throughout the night under his clothing, the report says.

No pearls with that outfit?

prepare to be shocked again

Bush is the biggest spender since LBJ

WASHINGTON — George W. Bush, despite all his recent bravado about being an apostle of small government and budget-slashing, is the biggest spending president since Lyndon B. Johnson. In fact, he's arguably an even bigger spender than LBJ.

"He’s a big government guy," said Stephen Slivinski, the director of budget studies at Cato Institute, a libertarian research group.

One could point out that there's spending, and then there's pissing money down the drain, and then there's pissing away BEEEELLLIONS of dollars every month to actually phokk things up way da phokk worse than they already were... but I won't.

take dat, HATERS

Craig vows to stay despite court loss

Idaho Sen. Larry Craig defiantly vowed to serve out his term in office on Thursday despite losing a court attempt to rescind his guilty plea in a men's room sex sting. "I have seen that it is possible for me to work here effectively," Craig said in a written statement certain to disappoint fellow Republicans who have long urged him to step down. Craig had earlier announced he would resign his seat by Sept. 30, but had wavered when he went to court in hopes of withdrawing his plea.

speaking of dropping drawers...

Sen. Larry Craig (R-Idaho) arrested: Guilty!

See the (funny!) report below (sounds like the mens' room at Deering Library)...

Udder fun facts about Larry Craig:

He grew up on a ranch outside Midvale in Washington County. (see: Brokeback Mountain)

Craig was a member of the Idaho National Guard from 1970 to 1972. (see: draft dodging)

Craig has been on the Board of Directors of the National Rifle Association since 1983. (see: He sees dead people.)

On June 11, 2007, Senator Craig was arrested at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport on suspicion of lewd conduct. He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct in August 2007. He paid more than $500 in fines and fees and was given one year of probation. A 10-day jail sentence was stayed. According to Roll Call, the arresting officer filed the following in his report of the incident:

At 1216 hours, Craig tapped his right foot. I recognized this as a signal used by persons wishing to engage in lewd conduct. Craig tapped his toes several times and moves his foot closer to my foot.... The presence of others did not seem to deter Craig as he moved his right foot so that it touched the side of my left foot which was within my stall area. Craig then proceeded to swipe his hand under the stall divider several times.

Craig stated "that he has a wide stance when going to the bathroom and that his foot may have touched mine," the arrest report states. Craig also told the arresting officer that he reached down with his right hand to pick up a piece of paper that was on the floor. "It should be noted that there was not a piece of paper on the bathroom floor, nor did Craig pick up a piece of paper," the arresting officer said in the report.

At one point Craig handed the plainclothes sergeant who arrested him a business card that identified him as a U.S. Senator and said, "What do you think about that?" A spokesman for Craig described the incident as a 'he said/he said misunderstanding,' and said the office would release a fuller statement later Monday [August 27] afternoon.

Shocking!

Another Republican who can’t keep his zipper zipped

Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) apologized last night after his telephone number appeared in the phone records of the woman dubbed the “D.C. Madam,” making him the first member of Congress to become ensnared in the high-profile case.

He's also a schizophrenic:

"I asked for and received forgiveness from God..."

When i talk to God and ask forgiveness for my various peccadillos, s/he never responds... what is Smiff doing wrong?
