How is K-Mad to blame? (cont'd)
I know he doesn't have Whiplash Wang but, I mean, these certainly sound like K-Mad-like words here: Lisfranc...tear...peroneal...longus...boot..."best case scenario."
Chien-Ming Wang could miss the rest of the season after suffering a mid-foot sprain of the Lisfranc ligament of the right foot and a partial tear of the peroneal longus tendon of the right foot. He won't need surgery, but he'll be on crutches and wearing a protective boot for at least six weeks. The Journal News speculates that even if he's fully healthy at that point, it would take four weeks for him to return to pitching shape, making a late August return the best case scenario. Get ready for even more C.C. Sabathia to New York rumors.

If pAy-Rod is gonna make $27.5 mEEEEEEllion a year and still needs incentives: he's gutless.
Alex Rodriguez is expected to be guaranteed $275 million under terms of his 10-year deal with the Yankees. Among the incentives that could push the deal over $300 million will be bonuses for passing Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron and Barry Bonds on the all-time home run list. A-Rod is currently at 518 homers, leaving him 244 behind Bonds.
Hmmm, no incentives for not choking in the playoffs, or, like, winning the World Series? One would think that's the sort of incentive Choke-Rod needs. And didn't Hank Steinbrenner say that the Yankees were out of the A-Rod sweepstakes after he opted out of his last contract? That he was done in New York? Sounds like Hank is a chip-off-the-ol'-block (aka full@s#i+).

Yankees SUCKING now affecting library research
The H.W. Wilson databases are unavailable because the local network is down. Construction workers building the new stadium for the New York Yankees inadvertently cut through the fiber optic cable. Verison is working on correcting the problem but has no estimate of when access to the WilsonWeb databases will be restored. We will send another CDL Alert when the databases are again available or when we have further information.
