"An airline is set to investigate reports that it asked passengers to pay £20,000 towards the cost of fuel to complete their journey to the UK."

The University of Michigan people say we passengers are partly to blame for how poorly the airlines are doing in satisfying us because we shop too much for bargain fares, driving profits down, but I think that's ridiculous. If they can't afford to offer the fares, they shouldn't.

I thought the University of Michigan would be smarter than that and come up with something better. Staaaaate schoooool!

Maybe it's just it was Memorial Day, or maybe I'm just a wuss, but when they misroute your bag TWICE, you start to think there's something rotten in the system. So now I'm waiting for them to deliver it to me. How big is the delivery window? 4 hours. Can we blame W?

And dat wasn't an indicator that, well, mebbe you should check things out? Oh no, because, as it turned out...Had the plane returned to Dallas, it would have had to dump a lot of expensive jet fuel in order to land.

Back when jet fuel was cheap it would have been a no brainer. But now that prices are through the roof...
