... when Dan Walker thinks you're a scumbag.
A disgrace to the state
By Dan Walker

While I admittedly erred in my private life 10 years after serving as Illinois governor—and paid the price for my mistakes—I am too proud of my state and my unblemished service as governor to remain silent about the despicable conduct of Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

Corporate America - fullas#i+
Dear Kevin,
In the distant future, the Earth is barren of all life forms; humans have survived only by leaving the wasted planet behind. This doomsday scenario is reality for Wall*E, the lovable, animated robot in this summer's blockbuster environmental movie from Disney/Pixar. If you've seen the movie Wall*E, you probably got the same thrill out of it as we did here at Greenpeace. (It seems that I'm not the only one around here with an appetite for entropy - Ed.) Meanwhile, the movie's box office success is a clear indicator that its message resonates with Americans of all stripes.
That's why we were perplexed (maybe even a little puzzled? Ed.) to see that Kimberly-Clark is featuring Wall*E on boxes of Kleenex. If you look on the bottom of these boxes, you'll see a little recycled symbol that says: "This box is made from 100% recycled paper." What you won't see on the bottom of that box is a message telling you that the tissues inside it are made from trees up to 180 years old that were cut from forests up to 10,000 years old. Nor will you read that Kimberly-Clark refuses to use any recycled material in Kleenex even though doing so would save huge areas of ancient forests.
A movie about conservation being used to sell a disposable paper product that contains absolutely no recycled content? It's the height of irony. (I didn't embed the video here because it has the sKILLy effect.)

Hillary spinning herself into the ground again
Currently bloviating again about how "Florida and Michigan should count." And yet one of her main bloviator-toadies, Terry "Fullas#i+" McAuliffe, when he was DNC Chairman, once threatened to strip Michigan of half its delegates if they moved their primary too early.
"They thought I was bluffing. But it was my responsibility as chairman to take action for the good of the party, and taking away half their delegates was well within my authority...The whole primary calendar was in danger of spinning out of control."
-- Terry "Fullas#i+" McAuliffe

Rudy Giuliani HATES the Michigan Wolverines
Gotta agree with Rudy on dis one...
Rudy Giuliani, on his New York mayoral radio show in 1999, responding to a representative of ferret owners who called in to question the city's ferret ban:
"There is something really, really very sad about you. You need help. You need somebody to help you. This excessive concern with little weasels is a sickness. . . . You should go consult a psychologist or psychiatrist and have him help you with this excessive concern, how you are devoting your life to weasels. . . . Something has gone wrong with you. Your compulsion about it, your excessive concern with it is a sign of something wrong in your personality. . . . You have a sickness, and I know it's hard for you to accept that because you hang onto this sickness, and it's your shield, it's your whatever, I don't know. . . ."
