Good question! I was about to guess the beady-eyed, weasely wolverine, but it is in fact our frenemy the moose that is stabbing us in the back this time by linking antlers with the YOOOGE global warming HOAX Machine.
"As ruminants, moose have a complicated digestion system that affects
their ability to self-cool, and their internal thermostats are triggered
with even the smallest temperature shifts."
"Waaah - it's too hot out" ... ya gonna cry now?

Now even plants and animals have joined in on YOOOOGE global warming FRAUD...
... or, perpetrators of most elaborate hoax ever going to ever more elaborate lengths (like moving plants and animals) to perpetrate hoax (cont'd)
From the current issue of Science and Shit:
"On average, the team finds, creatures move both up mountains and farther away from the equator at a speed that keeps pace with the rate of climate change and at a pace that is far faster than previously predicted."
That's it, run away, Chicken Littles... ya gonna cry now?

Skilly Cares!®
Pineapple Express to bring flooding rains, up to 10 feet of mountain snow to California; pattern boosting Chicago 2 week snow estimates; ice locusts; End Times; Grady Sizemore carrying deer meat up slippery icy stairs
The Pineapple Express' arrival not only signals the start of that region's annual rainy season, but also threatens to unleash yoooge low-elevation downpours, which by Christmas Eve (next Friday) could amount to 8 to 12 inches adjacent to southern California's mountains outside Los Angeles and San Diego--enough rain to provoke flooding and mudslides, particularly along westward facing slopes.
Just like Fungster said - it matters cuz it affects us.
Weather troubles with the Pineapple Express won't be limited to California alone. Far from it! (Phokk! ~ Ed.) Warnings of rough weather this weekend and beyond are out across sections of 10 western states. And the impact of this stormy atmospheric regime may ultimately extend to the Midwest and areas east.

Zombies are everywhere!
I read it in the USA TODAY today.
Zombies are everywhere. (See? Ed.)
There are books galore, movies in the works, perhaps a Broadway play. There's even a zombie march in Cambridge, Mass., at noon this Sunday...
Seth Grahame-Smith, author of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies written with Jane Austen (Quirk Books, $12.95), a book best described as Mr. Darcy meets Dawn of the Dead, says zombies connect because they're lovable menaces, funny, and easy metaphors.
"They've always been used to skewer the ills of society," he says. "It's not surprising they're making a comeback in these intense times."
They're not just for grown-ups.
The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan (Delacorte Press for Young Readers, $16.95) is a tale of teen angst in a post-apocalyptic world. There's also Zombie Queen of Newbury High by Amanda Ashby and You Are So Undead to Me by Stacey Jay, both in stores, and Strange Angels by Lili St. Crow, on sale May 14.

one advantage of a cold climate

Texas Road Signs Warn Of Zombie Attack
Besides the usual rush hour traffic, commuters in Austin, Texas, Monday also had to deal with reports of an imminent zombie attack.
Two city construction road signs near the University of Texas were hacked to display the warnings, reported the Austin American-Statesman.
The electronic signs, which usually warn motorists of traffic detours, instead included warnings such as "Caution! Zombies Ahead!" and "Nazi Zombies! Run!!!"
The signs also instructed motorists to "run for cold climates."
