Rev. Franklin Graham - born a jackass

Rev. Franklin Graham: President Obama 'born a Muslim'

His problem is that his father was a jackass, and the seed of jackassery is passed through the father. But he says he has renounced jackassery and become a Christian, so I guess we'll just have to accept it as that.

annudder mission accomplished

John McKay, who represented the Riverside County-based California Lutheran High School, said the ruling correctly acknowledged that the school's purpose was to "teach Christian values in a Christian setting pursuant to a Christian code of conduct."

Done.

The year of voting Biblically (cont'd)

So apparently there's something in the Old Testament about not voting for the black guy...

Survey: Religion Affects Willingness to Vote for Non-White Candidate

A white voter’s interpretation of the Bible also affected the person’s likelihood to vote for a racial minority candidate. Those who held more literal views of the Bible were more unwilling to vote across racial lines, the survey showed. . .

The survey found that white voters who belonged to a predominantly white congregation were among the least likely of all respondents to say they would vote for a non-white presidential candidate.

clowns in the news (cont'd)

The Yes on 8 side began airing a commercial on dozens of Spanish television stations that warned that children would be taught about gay marriage if the proposition was not approved. The spot features a little girl whose class reads a fairy tale about a prince who can't find a princess to marry -- so instead he marries a prince. Campaign officials said the ad would begin airing in English soon too.

Why does the Republican Party STILL HATE the Bible?

News item: On Thursday, July 31, the House Financial Services Committee approved our priority Credit Cardholders’ Bill of Rights, HR 5244, on a 39-27 vote. The bill would ban the worst unfair credit card practices, such as raising your interest rate to 36% APR or more because your payment was as little as one hour late or because your credit score declined, even if you had a perfect payment history.

The bill has 155 co-sponsors... but only two Republicans?

Since they're the party of Jesus, there must be something in this bill Jesus wouldn't like. Let's see what the Bible has to say about usury...

Hmmm... still puzzling...

Justice Officials Repeatedly Broke Law on Hiring, Report Says (Irony Not Intended)

Former Justice Department counselor Monica M. Goodling and former chief of staff D. Kyle Sampson routinely broke the law by conducting political litmus tests on candidates for jobs as immigration judges and line prosecutors, according to an inspector general's report released today.

Goodling passed over hundreds of qualified applicants and squashed the promotions of others after deeming candidates insufficiently loyal to the Republican party, said investigators, who interviewed 85 people and received information from 300 other job seekers at Justice. Sampson developed a system to screen immigration judge candidates based on improper political considerations and routinely took recommendations from the White House Office of Political Affairs and Presidential Personnel, the report said.

Goodling regularly asked candidates for career jobs, "What is it about George W. Bush that makes you want to serve him?" the report said. (Great rezziDUNCE? Or, the greatest rezziDUNCE? Where do you see George Bush in five years? If you could be any kind of sycophant, which kind would you be? Ed.) One former Justice Department official told investigators she had complained that Goodling was asking interviewees for their views on abortion, according to the report.

Here's annudder shocker: Goodling is part of the Regent University army in the Bush White House.

According to Regent University, more than 150 of its graduates have been hired by the federal government since George W. Bush came to office in 2001.

Theocracy

Supporters of radical clerics have begun a new holy war in Iran.

The Fatwa declares that "Iraq is a nation under Allah founded on Islam" and that the party is pledged "toward dispelling the myth that Islam is separate from the state.."

They oppose any governmental action to restrict, prohibit, or remove public display of the Koran or other religious symbols.

They support a constitutional act "which would among other provisions bar the Iraqi courts from hearing and ruling in cases regarding governmental entities or officials who acknowledge "Allah as the sovereign source of law, liberty, or government." The law would also permit the impeachment and removal of judges who listen to such cases.

They would forbid judges from determining the constitutionality of laws and end Iraqi court jurisdiction in cases involving Sharia law. It calls for the impeachment of judges who, through the subjective judgment of others, "abuse their authority."

They support minimal oversight and regulation of Mosques and Madrases.

They oppose the teaching of science, where it conflicts with the Koran, or any Mullah's interpretation of the Koran.

They support criminal penalties on medical professionals and scientists who engage in education or research not supported by the Koran.

Their platform supports the widespread and systematic discrimination against homosexuals, and others, including imprisonment and fines for those violating Sharia law and removal of Iraq's jurisdiction over like cases.

... Oh wait, that was the Texas GOP and the guy nailed to two pieces of wood.

hey, don't blame John Hagee, he didn't write it -- Jeremiah wrote it

Going in and out of biblical verse, Hagee preached: "'And they the hunters should hunt them,' that will be the Jews. 'From every mountain and from every hill and from out of the holes of the rocks.' If that doesn't describe what Hitler did in the holocaust you can't see that."

He goes on: "Theodore Hertzel is the father of Zionism. He was a Jew who at the turn of the 19th century said, this land is our land, God wants us to live there. So he went to the Jews of Europe and said 'I want you to come and join me in the land of Israel.' So few went that Hertzel went into depression. Those who came founded Israel; those who did not went through the hell of the holocaust.

"Then god sent a hunter. A hunter is someone with a gun and he forces you. Hitler was a hunter. And the Bible says—Jeremiah writing—'They shall hunt them from every mountain and from every hill and from the holes of the rocks,' meaning there's no place to hide. And that might be offensive to some people but don't let your heart be offended. I didn't write it, Jeremiah wrote it. It was the truth and it is the truth. How did it happen? Because God allowed it to happen. Why did it happen? Because God said my top priority for the Jewish people is to get them to come back to the land of Israel."

This explains...

Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum's warning during Islamo-Fascism Awareness Week at www.terrorismawareness.org/islamo-fascism-awareness-week: "Islam, unlike Christianity, is an all-encompassing ideology. It is not just something you do on Sunday."

...why Sanscrotum and "Christians" like him are total @$$holes the other six days of the week.
