Rudy Responds "Nine-Eleven" Take 2

(CNN) – Republican presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani charged his Democratic counterparts of being soft on terrorism in last night’s debate.
“I am becoming increasingly concerned that the Democrats don’t mention the term ‘Islamic terrorism’ during their debates,” he told reporters at a campaign stop today in Riverside, California. “I almost get the sense that they are debating as if there isn’t an Islamic terrorist threat to this country.”
Giuliani was speaking at a fundraiser in San Fransisco last night and didn’t get a chance to watch the debate, but was able to review transcripts this morning.
Giuliani, who served as New York’s mayor during the September 11th attacks, has made leadership on terrorism a primary theme of his presidential campaign.

Al Quaeda and the rest of the terrorists are the least of your worries. Someday, and someday soon, I will have completed my weather machine which I will use to dominate the world!

Hundreds perish in European heat as record rain in England produces mammoth floods

The worst flooding in over six decades--possibly in several hundred years--has devastated central and western England in recent days even as drought and extreme heat produce wildfires, crop failures and a mounting death toll across eastern Europe. The heat has claimed the lives of 500 across Hungary and 35 in Romania. A storm track, far south of its usual location, has produced wave after wave of downpours all summer across the United Kingdom. June was the wettest on record in England and July is on track to become the wettest as well. Five inch rains in the London area last Friday?a month's worth of rain in a single day--followed by additional weekend rainfall, sent the Thames and Severn Rivers out of their banks with flood crests as much as 20 feet above normal. The flooding is more severe than the 1947 flood considered the country's benchmark until now. Though cresting rivers were beginning to recede Tuesday, the week ahead could see another 1-2" of rain.

Fungster and all others as well. I recommend against international travel in the near and distant future. You'll be shocked and awed when you see what I'm cooking up.
