The Dodgers say they have no plans to call up pitching prospect James McDonald to replace Brett Tomko in the rotation. "It's not going to happen," Manager Grady Little said. "If he was ready, he'd already be here." McDonald has a 12-9 record with a 3.15 earned-run average and 159 strikeouts in 125 2/3 innings between Jacksonville and Class-A Inland Empire this season.

Grady can keep using that line of "reasoning" until McDonald's 40. I mean c'mon, this fool makes 7 figures and he can't see the moronic lack of logic in that statement? By that reasoning nobody could ever be called up because they can't be ready be they aren't already up. The only players who are ready are the players who are already up. Eventually the game would wither away because the only players that were ready would be dead.
