Rowdy Hardy allowed two hits over seven scoreless innings Monday to improve to 7-1 for Single-A Wilmington.
Hardy, 24, has a 1.62 ERA and a 47/7 K/BB ratio in 72 1/3 innings this season. He's quite a long shot to be a successful starter in the majors, but he'll earn a look someday if his command leads to strong results in the upper minors. Frankly, we'd by much higher on him if Rowdy happened to be his given name. He's actually Lenny Franklin Hardy.
