American Groundlines

Ah the joys of unregulated capitalism. Airlines which don't fly. Energy companies that trade in commodities until they leverage away their futures. Stock brokers who trade in overrated bonds until they leverage away their futures. Governments which fight trade wars with real armies that put specie ahead of human capital.

And the religious nutbags apparently are able to criticize every moral system except for the amoral immorality of unfettered capitalism. Most of the rest just want lower taxes.

What the fuck do you mean by "unregulated"? Do you have any knowledge of why these planes are not flying?

"The chief executive of American Airlines, which has grounded almost 2,500 flights over the past three days, accepted 'full responsibility' Thursday for failing to meet government inspection standards."

"Roger Frizzell, an airline spokesman, said the inspections involve technical compliance as opposed to flight safety."

Yeah, they had to meet govt. standards that weren't enforced. They had 18 months to do so and didn't do it. FAA inspectors are coming forth and saying that they had pressure not to be too hard on the airlines they were inspecting - ala the Southwest fiasco recently. So no doubt AA is at fault. 100%. So is the govt. 100%. That's the way the law works.
