Senate joins House in passing transit bill

(AP) — The General Assembly on Thursday approved Gov. Rod Blagojevich's changes to legislation that will prevent deep service cuts at Chicago-area transit systems. The measure passed the House 61-47 Thursday and the Senate 32-19.

Ow, and I was looking forward to figuring out 5 different ways of getting to work next week. Lesse, there's the 151 Sheridan, the 36 Broadway, the Red line, bike to work (yeah right), er, um, walk 6 blocks and take the Damen Bus to the Brown line. Wow. Mebbe I'll just try each one anyway. Yeah, right.
