add MVP credentials to the list of things that ain't what they used to be

Aaron Hill (.753 OPS), with his 15th homer of the season Sunday, is closing in on the Toronto club record for home runs in a season by a second baseman. Hill is just two behind the team record of 17 long balls by a keystone cornerman, set by Robbie Alomar in 1993. Hill's exploits are certainly catching the right people's eyes: "Arguably, he's our MVP this season," Jays manager John "The Idiot" Gibbons said.
