Smiff Cottage Industries noted again by Chicago media

in QT today...

Lazy dogs of summer

Michael L. Smith, a San Diego, Calif., reader, writes:

"Is it the dog days of summer yet?"

This is the seventh dog day of summer, with 31 days to go.

The first man to bite a dog this year, in Yangfan, China, bit the dog on the first day of dog days.

There is not much other dog news to report, except for a dog nursing a stray kitten in Victoria, Texas.

These being the dog days of summer.

In related news...

Marcel Proust, who wrote, "We must never be afraid to go too far, for truth lies beyond," was born 136 years ago on the second day of National Nude Recreation Week.

You'd be amazed at what a dog can do.

Clearly, the most important part of that QT was that the terrists can get a bomb on a plane but not an illegal water bottle. This after almost 6 years of the feds running security. Digging deeper, apparently a TSA spokesman, when asked to respond, replied: "We don't discuss the results because they tend to paint an inaccurate picture of the competency of our work force." That's the dog days of summer for ya.

Kudos on getting published BTW, don't let it go to your head!

Everyone who works in an airport, or on an airplane, or anything to do with air travel, is brain dead, with or without hair. Given the rampant idiocy at the airports, i'm surprised there isn't a plane crashing every day...and PRINT IT!
