There's nothing on the Yahoo coeverage indicating that Thome got hurt, so apparently Ozzie thinks it's a good idea to have Podsie pinch hit for Thome.
Jim Thome left Thursday's game in the fourth inning with an undisclosed injury.
After a wacky second inning that saw both teams score eight runs, Thome was pinch-hit for by Scott Podsednik in the fourth. We'll update his status once details are given. Thome went 1-for-2 with a double and two RBI before leaving.
Scott Podsednik went 2-for-3 with an RBI after entering Thursday's game in the fourth inning following Jim Thome leaving with back spasms.
Podsednik pinch-hit for Thome in the fourth and smacked a double into the right-center field gap, and had an RBI single in the sixth.
