General manager Walt Jocketty said Tuesday that the Reds will not re-sign Corey Patterson.Patterson hit just .205/.238/.344 after signing a one-year, $3 million contract, yet got 392 plate appearances while inexplicably hitting leadoff 32 times in manager Dusty Baker's lineup.

the sort of stuff you don't hear in the US news media

Obama described it as a "false political attack", saying he had never advocated talking to terrorists, while Joe Biden, the Democratic chairman of the Senate foreign relations committee, said: "This is bullshit."

He is not a perfect man, he has made mistakes in his life. Also, he's a lying cheat and a HYOOOGE, GIGANTIC @$$HOLE.

Roger Clemens issued a statement Sunday night apologizing for mistakes in his personal life.
Clemens took the opportunity to once again deny his use of performance enhancing drugs, and also claimed that reports he dated a 15-year-old Mindy McCready were untrue. "I know that many people want to know what I have to say about the recent articles in the media. Even though these articles contain many false accusations and mistakes, I need to say that I have made mistakes in my personal life for which I am sorry. I have apologized to my family and apologize to my fans. Like everyone, I have flaws. I have sometimes made choices which have not been right," Clemens said.

''I believe my personal life has nothing to do with the accusations of steroid and HGH use,'' he said in the statement. ''I have already made clear that I did not use them.''

That settles it for me...

Also, on da plus side, none of mistresses are dead or missing (that we know of).

Sam Zell: a HYOOOGE @$$hole or the HYOOOGEST @$$hole?

It didn't take long for me to start hating dis @$$hole's guts. And this is a mortal lock: despite their Obama worship, the Chicago Tribune will keep their Republican-lovin' streak alive and endorse John McCain... oh yeah, screw the Cubs. 100 more years of suckin'! (or at least while this @$$hole owns the team...)

But don’t tell that to media mogul Sam Zell, new owner of The Tribune Co. Guess who he blames for the state of the economy?….Wait for it….Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Seriously.

"Obviously what we have going on is an attempt to create a self-fulfilling prophecy," said Zell, chairman of Equity Investments Group and owner of the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times and other companies. "We have two Democratic candidates who are vying with each other to describe the economic situation worse."

Yep, no way it could be the ding-a-ling who's been in the White House for the last 7 years...

It's about time the truth about this slimeball came out

Now all the "Old-school" whitey lovers can cut the crap about The Rocket doing it the right way.

hey kids--or should i say, suckers--PHOKK YOU!

Overturn of veto unlikely
House Democratic leaders have identified only one additional vote for expanding a children's health insurance, not nearly enough to prevail in Thursday's vote on overriding President Bush's veto.

Explaining his use of the veto, Bush said: “That's one way to ensure that I am relevant. That's one way to ensure that I am in the process.”

Also ensures what a TREMENDOUSLY, GAPINGLY HYOOOOOOOGE @$$HOLE JERK YOU ARE, TOO.

a certainty defined

Milton Bradley:
1) great hitter, when healthy, which is infrequent to say the least
2) HYOOOGE asshole, all the time, which is frequent to say the most

Milton Bradley is still likely a few days away from returning from a strained oblique, according to manager Bud Black. And there's a good chance Black will say the same thing come Wednesday or Thursday.

Ted Nugent: The Deadest of the Brain Dead

Ted Nugent curses out Hillary, Obama, Feinstein and issues threats with Machine Guns

Of course, he talks tough but he's actually (shockingly!) a draft dodging, sissyhawk:

"He claims that 30 days before his draft board physical, he disavowed personal hygiene. The last ten days he ingested nothing but junk food and Pepsi, and with a week to go until the physical, he stopped using the bathroom altogether. When the big day came, he had been living in excrement-caked and urine-stained pants. Always the hero, however, Nugent reassured the Free Press, “But if I would have gone over there, I’d have been killed, or I’d have killed all the Hippies in the foxholes. I would have killed everybody.” (Detroit Free Press, 1990)

see - Dumbya has compassion...for insurance companies

News Item: "President Bush rejected entreaties by his Republican allies that he compromise with Democrats on legislation to renew a popular program that provides health coverage to poor children, saying that expanding the program would enlarge the role of the federal government at the expense of private insurance."
Isn't it time someone looked out for the private health insurance companies? And will someone please tell all those sick children to stop their incessant whining?

It sure would be nice if by the end of his 2nd term all of the poor children were dead, so that problem could be considered eliminated. While we're at it, all of their poor parents, too. That could be his lasting legacy (other than all the $#!+ blowing up in Iraq).

they call him "The Angler" for a reason...

News Item (2002): "Cheney asserts executive privilege."
News Item (2007): "Cheney won't follow executive order, says he's part of legislative branch."

Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) explaining in 2003 why he was against an Iraq invasion: "The question in my mind is how many additional American casualties is Saddam worth? And the answer is not that damned many."

Then again, what do you expect from-- No. Wait. That was Secretary of Defense Dick Cheney explaining in 1992 why he was against an Iraq invasion. Back when he was in the executive branch.

Snowjobber: 2+2=5, s#i+ blowing up everywhere is peace, etc.

Q Let me follow on that, because I think some American officials have called this (Wednesday's s#i+-blowing-up of the Al-Askari mosque) an act of desperation. And I'm wondering how this is seen as an act of desperation. Does that mean that the terrorists are so concerned that they're sort of being shut down, and that the surge is so effective that they're now desperate to make a statement?

MR. SNOWJOB: Well, I think, again -- a couple of things. It does fit a pattern that we see throughout the region, which is that when you see things moving towards success, or when you see signs of success, that there are acts of violence. We saw that, certainly -- we've seen that in Lebanon, once again, today, tragically. We also saw it earlier in Lebanon. We have seen it on a number of occasions where, when Israel and the Palestinians seem to be getting close to a deal, there are kidnapings and acts of violence.
