Ozzie Guillen has been suspended two games and fined an undisclosed amount by MLB for tweeting after his ejection earlier this week.

Guillen was expecting a fine, but he got even more for tweeting "This one going to cost me a lot money this is patetic" and "Today a tough guy show up a yankee stadium" following his ejection by home plate umpire Todd Tichenor. He'll serve the suspension during the first two games of the series against the Orioles, with bench coach Joey Cora taking over as acting manager.

"I'm tired, really tired, of fans and media talking about Wise anymore," Guillen said. "He played because I wanted him to play. He played because I made the stinking lineup ... CHICAGO—MLB disciplinary officials announced that Ozzie Guillen would be fined $10,000 and ordered to undergo sensitivity psychoanalysis for the "irresponsible, offensive, and completely unacceptable" thoughts that passed through the White Sox manager's mind during Wednesday night's game.

"During the fourth inning of yesterday's White Sox-Yankees contest, Mr. Guillen's mind conjured a series of insensitive, wildly inappropriate—I would even go so far as to say depraved—thoughts and images," said Bob Watson, MLB vice president of on-field discipline. SAN FRANCISCO - San Diego Padres pitcher Mark Prior will undergo season-ending surgery on his injured right shoulder, the latest medical setback to a once-promising career.

Padres manager Bud Black announced the decision to operate before Sunday's game against the San Francisco Giants. Prior, one of the top young pitchers in the game for the Chicago Cubs just a few years ago, has not pitched in the majors since Aug. 10, 2006.

He had been trying to make a comeback with his hometown Padres this season, but his rehab process was shut down at extended spring training about two weeks ago when he had more soreness in the shoulder. Prior, 27, had surgery on the same shoulder in April 2007 while with the Cubs.

"I can't imagine how frustrated he is," Black said. "It looked like everything was on course. Then to have this happen I'm sure is extremely frustrating. I'm upset for him just because there was such confidence from him about how he felt."

Tired of "all the managers in the press box and at home, watching the game on TV and spilling food on themselves," Guillen became the story after a 4-3 loss Sunday to the Toronto Blue Jays, making his feelings known about the perceived treatment he and his organization get in the Windy City.

"Right now, everyone in Chicago is making lineups, 'Call up this guy, call up that guy,'" Guillen said. "If we had 50 people allowed on the roster, we could do that. That's what ticks me off about Chicago fans and Chicago media -- they forget pretty quick. A couple of days ago, we were the [bleep]ing best [bleep] in town, now we're [bleep]."

Asked why that is, Guillen pulled no punches.

"Because maybe the manager is an ass[bleep]," he replied.

Guillen said that the only way the perception of the Sox ever would change is by winning, but even after they did in 2005, it hasn't taken long for it to wear off.

"We won it a couple years ago, and we're horse[bleep]," Guillen said. "The Cubs haven't won in 120 years, and they're the [bleep]ing best. [Bleep] it, we're good. [Bleep] everybody. We're horse[bleep], and we're going to be horse[bleep] the rest of our lives, no matter how many World Series we win. We are the bitch of Chicago. We're the Chicago bitch. "How about the Cubs celebrating that Lee Elia bull[crap]?" Guillen said of the 25th anniversary of Elia's famous 1983 tirade. "How many times I curse people out, I will make a lot of money with my [crap]. I have to keep going because in the future Ozzie [Jr.] will need money and I can say, 'Here, give me money, here's the 10-year anniversary of the time I called [Sun-Times columnist Jay] Mariotti stuff and the time I went on the radio and cursed out Mike North last year.'

"Yeah, we have to celebrate all that [crap], too. But I won't be around for 10 years, believe me."
