Cub fan's hunger strike
First, I thought a hunger strike was eating NO food, not this less than I need bull$#!+. Second, you usually go on one of dese for only one reason, not dis "oh, and I'm also trying to lose weight. Seriously. Even Cub fans won't go all the way. Pathetic.

Way too much time on your hands
Thank God I had to go back to work this afternoon, you guys citing PECOTA and all the other stuff have way too much time on your hands..It doesnt take a numbers genuis to tell you the Cubs always suck against a pitcher they never faced, that is mental, got a theory to figure that out ?..How many times have we seen the Cubs roll , only to take a team , a triple A team in the Pirates kick their butts ? As I have said many times before, nice to see Theriot and DeRosa sit, Sotto needs some more time off as well..

MILWAUKEE — Two Chicago-area men are accused of beating up a suburban Milwaukee man who police say threw a bag of trash at their bus after the Milwaukee Brewers' loss to the Chicago Cubs at Miller Park.
Officers arrested the Cubs fans from Downers Grove, 25 and 26, Tuesday night, officials said.
Police say three men got off the bus after a 24-year-old West Allis man threw a bag of trash.
The third man, 34, from Joliet, also was arrested and received a ticket for assault and battery after he punched his sister as she tried to intervene, police said. He also was cited for resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia, Milwaukee police spokeswoman Anne Schwartz said.
Felony charges of substantial battery are pending against the Downers Grove men, she said.
The Brewers fan was cited for disorderly conduct and taken to a local hospital.
Proving, once again, that 100 years of futility makes a team's fans extremely provokable.

The men are accused of beating 32-year-old Robert Steele of Gurnee during a 2-year-old girl's Sesame Street-themed birthday party.
Police said Monday the men were drinking alcohol at the July 19th party and taunting Steele.
They say Steele was kicked in the head and his nose was broken. He stayed several days at an Elgin hospital.
Thirty-one-year-old Jaroslaw Czapla, 37-year-old Boguslaw Czapla and 33-year-old Maciej Trojnar face mob action and aggravated battery charges.
Jaroslaw Czapla's number is unlisted. There were no listings for Boguslaw Czapla or Trojnar.

Cubs raise ticket prices

The price of success and maintaining an aging ball park will cost Cubs fans as much as 30 percent more next season. The team is raising the price of all classes of seats after a two-year price hold. The price of the highest price club box seats will rise from $54 to $70 for 25 ‘‘regular’’ games and from $65 to $80 for 50 designated ‘‘prime’’ games.
The price of bleacher seats will rise from $30 to $36 for regular games and from $40 to $45 for prime games. The lowest-priced seats, upper deck reserve outfield, will go from $14 to $16 for regular games and from$17 to $20 for prime games. There will be six ‘‘value’’ games with lower prices, from$50 for the highest price seats to $10 for the lowest price seats and $22 for bleacher seats.
‘‘Our pledge to field a championship team*, improve the playing field and maintain the 93-year-old Friendly Confines requires we take this [price increase] step now,’’ director of ticket operations Frank Maloney said in a letter to season’s ticketholders. ‘‘The Cubs average ticket price remains significantly lower than the Boston Red Sox, the only other team still playing in a park as old as ours.’’ The Red Sox have set 2008 ticket prices ranging from $26 for bleacher seats to $125 for the highest-priced field box seats.
