Things nerds think about
For Better or Worse, Sex in Space Is Inevitable
Sex in space could be right around the corner.
Fungster now considering whether, for a free trip to space, he would volunteer for to be the guinea pig. Well I suppose it depends on the counterpart now doesn't it? Then again, I'm sure they'd go to the porn stars before asking moi...

The top 5 remain the same, with we are living in a golden age (cont) shooting up two spots, and bad ideas falling 3 spots. The 12 above were the top 12 before, so we need to start rooting for some of the lower ones. I'm rooting for Idiocracy myself, with Fung needs a suga mommie a close second.
We also perhaps need an analysis grouping some of the similar ones together - like the brain-dead's and the how to suck at and the whitey/darky ones. Also the ones that have one of us mentioned - though I think K-Mad destroys us there.
Well, off to the Florian...

finally, some good news (for Smiff, Fung)
Japan makes robot girlfriend for lonely men
Tue Jun 17, 2008 1:43pm BST
TOKYO (Reuters) - She is big-busted, petite, very friendly, and she runs on batteries.
A Japanese firm has produced a 38 cm (15 inch) tall robotic girlfriend that kisses on command, to go on sale in September for around $175, with a target market of lonely adult men.
Using her infrared sensors and battery power, the diminutive damsel named "EMA" puckers up for nearby human heads, entering what designers call its "love mode".
"Strong, tough and battle-ready are some of the words often associated with robots, but we wanted to break that stereotype and provide a robot that's sweet and interactive," said Minako Sakanoue, a spokeswoman for the maker, Sega Toys.
"She's very lovable and though she's not a human, she can act like a real girlfriend."
EMA, which stands for Eternal Maiden Actualization, can also hand out business cards, sing and dance, with Sega hoping to sell 10,000 in the first year.
Japan, home to almost half the world's 800,000 industrial robots, envisions a $10-billion market for artificial intelligence in a decade.

Paris Hilton and Joel Madden’s dogs are dating
According to Paris’ boyfriend Benji Madden – who is Joel’s brother and Good Charlotte bandmate – her Chihuahua Tinkerbell has been sniffing around Joel’s pet Pitbull Terrier Eazy.
In a posting on the Good Charlotte website following a family party at Paris’ house, Benji wrote:
“There were lots of babies around and everyone brought their dogs and they were all dressed up.
“We just found out that Eazy, Joel’s dog, and Tinkerbell are now seeing each other. She seems happy, we wish them the best...”
Benji and Paris have been dating for three months and are reportedly planning to marry.
Joel is engaged to Paris’ close friend Nicole Richie and the couple have a five-month-old daughter Harlow.
Animal-lover Paris once claimed to have 600 pets in her various homes including Chihuahuas, a Rottweiler dog, a bobcat, a ferret and a kinkajou, though Tinkerbell is arguably her most famous pet after making regular public appearances with the socialite.

Cricket goes Bollywood
Boys, take at look at this. Take a good hard look at this picture. Explain to me what this has to do with cricket? I mean, I understand the (American) football oaf fans have to be entertained somehow in the 2 hours of a game where nothing is happening, but cricket? Oh, right, cricket has 8 times as much time with nothing going on. Never mind, bring 'em on...
This is part of the inauguration of the new Indian Premier League, so they pulled all the stops. It's good to know our cheerleaders can be exported to bring in much needed foreign currency to help in the ongoing financial crisis. Things the US exports has been going down over the years, but they could represent a new boo

Airline's 'MILF' Promo Not What You Think
Spirit Airlines Claims Ignorance of Promotional Title's Connection to Obscene Acronym
The fire sale by Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Spirit Airlines promises "Many Islands, Low Fares" deals as low as $9 for future travel dates between Fort Lauderdale and the Bahamas.
"The most obscene thing we've noticed," Juan Arbelaez, the director of communications for the company's Latin American market, said, "is what other carriers have charged to fly the Caribbean before Spirit's $9 fares."
In 2006, after receiving dozens of complaints, Spirit scrapped an online promotional game called "The Hunt for Hoffa" that offered low fares and poked fun at the FBI's hunt for Teamsters boss Jimmy Hoffa, USA Today reported at the time.

Sex Scandal Hits Atlanta-Area Megachurch
DECATUR, Ga. - The 80-year-old leader of a suburban Atlanta megachurch is at the center of a sex scandal of biblical dimensions: He slept with his brother's wife and fathered a child by her.
In truth, this is not the first -- or even the second -- sex scandal to engulf Paulk and the independent, charismatic church. But this time, he could be in trouble with the law for lying under oath about the affair.

Suga Mommie Downside
Man, 24, loses 82-year-old wife
Wedding video
An 82-year-old Argentine woman who attracted media attention last month when she married a 24-year-old man has died as a result of heart problems.
Adelfa Volpes was admitted to hospital soon after she and her new husband, Reinaldo Waveqche, returned from their honeymoon in Brazil.
She died in a sanatorium in Santa Fe, the city where the couple were married.
Ms Volpes had rejected criticism over the age difference with the groom, who is the son of one of her best friends.
"I don't want to resign myself to the idea that I lost her," a disconsolate Mr Waveqche told EFE news agency.
The couple were married on 28 September in a civil service after several years of engagement, and later walked through a local church surrounded by reporters.
Their love is said to have blossomed when Mr Waveqche went to live with his future bride after his mother's death, when he was 15.
