The freewheeling consortium blog about baseball, still hating George Bush, the weather, Chicago, live-blogging the End Times, the Chicago hot dog (NO KETCHUP!), inane rambling, and forever and always hating George Bush. ~ "Baseball is more than a game to me, it's a religion." -- Bill Klem, umpire. ~ "They're really behind ya around here..." -- Lee Elia, former manager ~

If that keeps up, who would want to go on living anyway?
Chris Berman, moments ago, on the broadcast: "There's nobody at work in San Diego today, Murph."
Count me in. They encouraged us to "work from home," so i am.
Eldrick now at -1. Looks like The Rapture has been averted...for now.
Turned on the Cubs game and "Throwback Day" so they were broadcasting in black & white. You could hear a typewriter in the background. Funny stuff. Bob and Len (is that his name?) were having a laugh over how much things were different in 1948. No shit, Sherlocks. What a snoozefest these two are. Despite it being Throwback Day, a stupid Cubs' fan still threw a HR ball back onto to the field. They weren't doing that stupid, phokking s#i+ in 1948, were they. I don't think so.
I remember a specific conversation in 7th grade in the lunchroom where one kid was laughing about how you could always hear a typewriter in the background during a Cubs broadcast.
