The freewheeling consortium blog about baseball, still hating George Bush, the weather, Chicago, live-blogging the End Times, the Chicago hot dog (NO KETCHUP!), inane rambling, and forever and always hating George Bush. ~ "Baseball is more than a game to me, it's a religion." -- Bill Klem, umpire. ~ "They're really behind ya around here..." -- Lee Elia, former manager ~

Ah...Buddy Bell. He just...is.
Is that what you pay for in a major league manager these days?
I could just...be.
We're getting better too. The Lattice is getting better everyday. But we're going to have to improve as well, as the blogosphere is also getting better and better.
I'm going to go and burn down something. Something Republican or NBA-oriented. Something goddamned cliche.
We should all do this.
The plutocrats don't fear us. Baseball is run by idiots at the top, in the middle and on the field. The NBA is dead. Football sucks. Iraq sucks. The housing market sucks, for everybody. Rents in New York suck. Rents suck. And how many goddamned pharmaseutical ads does it take to make us feel better about this?
Will Carrol, is, I'm sure, taking his cap off though to all the great and unsung trainers who keep things going on the field with little reward by way of public acknowledgment.
Thanks for recognizing the "little guy" Will. Watch out for fire.
They're not getting better, but they will soon be out of last place.
