Jesus Flores reached three times and scored the only run of the game Thursday against the Mets.
He was still nearly the goat in the ninth inning after throwing the ball into center field on Carlos Beltran's steal attempt, putting the tying run on third with one out. His shaky glove played a role again just two minutes later, as he had a foul-tip strike three pop out of glove, keeping Carlos Delgado alive at the plate. Fortunately for Flores, Delgado went on to line into a game-ending double play. Flores definitely looks like the best offensive catcher in the Nationals' organization, but he has a ways to go on defense.
