Paulson: Checks to go out in May
The checks are an advance on next year's refunds, and most, if not all of the money, will be deducted from taxpayers' refunds in 12 months' time.
So, once again, our government has tried to fool us. "Here's a chunk of money" they said. "Oh, and we'll be back for it next year." So how does this help? What happens if we're still in a recession next year and people don't have the money to pay the government back?
Can we just recall da whole bunch? Oh yeah, that's right. A bunch of them are running for re-election, aren't they?

An "advance on next year's refund" suits me fine since I usually don't get a refund. So I don't have to pay them back, right?
We did dat in Kaleefoyhneyuh and so now the state is known as Kaleefoyhneyuh.
So good luck wid dat.
And like k-mad, i've never gotten a refund anywherez nears $600.
Well, den when you do you taxes next year you gonna get phokked, coz that's when they'll want their $600 back...
But den again, you both probably make more than $75,000 so this won't affect you anyway...
Make more than $75,000? Funny stuff...we're freaking librarians...duh (or were joking? you were joking, right?).
