The freewheeling consortium blog about baseball, still hating George Bush, the weather, Chicago, live-blogging the End Times, the Chicago hot dog (NO KETCHUP!), inane rambling, and forever and always hating George Bush. ~ "Baseball is more than a game to me, it's a religion." -- Bill Klem, umpire. ~ "They're really behind ya around here..." -- Lee Elia, former manager ~

The flag in the fireplace is a nice touch.
I did think that was a nice touch too, though they could have included the lapel pin somehow.
What galls me is that this will be the topic of the next 3 days. Instead of something, well, substantial maybe. Something to do with our lives maybe. Edumacation? Economy, stupid? Nope, it's gonna be is this racist, in bad taste, stoooopid, or free speech? Zzzzzzzzzz...
I told you he was a Muslim.
My question is how did they get the camera into the Osama cave to take that picture?
Brain Dead Bob asks an intriguing question, particularly considering his brain-deadness.
News update: Obama campaign not amused, possibly agree with Fungster.
He's still black though right? Couldn't they just have run a picture of him as a black guy and had mostly the same effect?

New Yorker is part of the Obama media left wing, is his whole following a bunch of idiots. Maybe he can find someone to fire for this one also.

The longest 16 years of our lives...
I'm sure The New Yorker will be follwing it up with this:
How would the right react with a NYer graphic of McCain screaming at his first wife while she signs the divorce papers—one arm is behind his back—he’s handing Cindy a box of chocolate candies as she kicks over a bag full of cash that’s marked Beer money while a Keating jet is parked outside the window.

Love the LA Times story C&L links to. High praise from Nancy Reagan:
"Ronnie and I always waited until everything was decided, and then we endorsed," the Republican matriarch said in March. "Well, obviously this is the nominee of the party." They were the only words she would speak during the five-minute photo op.
Also, let it be known that McCain's middle name is Sidney.
