Just asking: didn't the Padres make the playoffs last year while the Cubs lost a bajillion games??? Uh, maybe the Padres are a better team? Spending $200 million doesn't necessarily make the Cubs a better team. (also see: Soriano: albatross)
And this guy has Pagan as an untouchable? How does he have sense enough to get on a computer and type stuff?
Yeah, I thought that would get a good Smiff rant. I also like Ryan Theriot being untouchable. He's a nice player, but c'mon he's David Eckstein.
Even better in the game thread for last night someone suggested that they be gutsy and go with the suicide squeeze when Jack Jones was batting with DeRosa on in the 9th. Oh, I should add that there were two outs.
