An e-mail from Corms to ComEd.

I just called to get electrical service set up for an apartment I'm moving into. I was told it could take up to 12 days for the power to be turned on and that it is currently taking almost the whole 12 days. This is inexcusable and unacceptable service. Commonwealth Edison has a monopoly on a basic necessity and this poor quality of service will be reported to all the relevant agencies.

The letter I sent to the Illinois Commerce Commission through their web form:

I called ComEd today to set up electric service at an apartment I'm moving into this weekend. I was told that it could, and probably would, take up to 12 days for the power to be turned on. Granted I could have called sooner to establish service, but I didn't find out until Friday June 27th that I had the apartment and the lease started on July 1st. If I had called right away I still might have had power until the 9th which would have been over a week after the lease started. A company that is given a monopoly on a necessity like electricity needs to provide better service than that.

Tings aren't going your way Corms. Hopefully tings will change once your losing streak reaches 10.
