The freewheeling consortium blog about baseball, still hating George Bush, the weather, Chicago, live-blogging the End Times, the Chicago hot dog (NO KETCHUP!), inane rambling, and forever and always hating George Bush. ~ "Baseball is more than a game to me, it's a religion." -- Bill Klem, umpire. ~ "They're really behind ya around here..." -- Lee Elia, former manager ~

he's also a Cyclone - so expect explosive, mind-altering pain-explosion of shoulder and/or elbow after four+ innings to get excited.
Four+ innings?
Try warm-ups.
no - it's almost imperative that there's at least some reason for optimism so that we hold on to him during the inevitable years of recuperation....
I see a line like this:
4.1 2 2 1 3 7
and
notes:
Matt Kemp's double in the third was his 7th double in his last 31 at bats
Skip Schumaker has now hit safely in 7 of his last 8 games
Clayton Kershaw had to leave the game in the 4th inning after apparently a small pipe bomb(s) exploded in his elbow/shoulder area. This has the hallmarks of an Al Quaeda attack as the bone fragments seem to fly from both parts of his arm simultaneously. Witnesses said they heard the sound of what sounded like an e-chord being snapped and ligaments apparently of Kershawian origin were seen near a Dodger Dog stand.
Andre Ethier started in his 8th consecutive game
ALbert Pujols hit safely in his tenth consecutive game when he singled in the seventh inning
It was Chad Billingsley bobble-head day
