The freewheeling consortium blog about baseball, still hating George Bush, the weather, Chicago, live-blogging the End Times, the Chicago hot dog (NO KETCHUP!), inane rambling, and forever and always hating George Bush. ~ "Baseball is more than a game to me, it's a religion." -- Bill Klem, umpire. ~ "They're really behind ya around here..." -- Lee Elia, former manager ~

I told Sarge, and I'll say it again. We should all be investing in oil companies and arms manufacturers. It is the ultimate hedge. If they continue to do well we can take our dividends and reinvest them in important things like Brian Moore's presidential candidacy or the Red Cross. If they fail, you may lose your shirt, but will you really care? I'd rather own them than invest in some socially responsible company and watch it tank while losing my ass. An added bonus is perhaps you could really f up the shareholders meetings.
I wonder if this is related to the skyrocketing oil prices? Just spitballin'...
