Empty seats in Chicago this week
Sox vs. first-place Twins Tuesday: 11,000 empty seats Wednesday: 10,000 empty seats Thursday: 13,000 empty seats Blackhawks practice (not exhibition game, just practice) Saturday: sold out
The practice was fun and yeah, the Sox basically just got eliminated. Only a business purpose or an interest in seeing prospects could bring me to a game now.
Chicago fans go by hope. There is hope at the United Center. There is no hope at US Cellular field. I mean, would YOU have gone to those games?
