The freewheeling consortium blog about baseball, still hating George Bush, the weather, Chicago, live-blogging the End Times, the Chicago hot dog (NO KETCHUP!), inane rambling, and forever and always hating George Bush. ~ "Baseball is more than a game to me, it's a religion." -- Bill Klem, umpire. ~ "They're really behind ya around here..." -- Lee Elia, former manager ~
The last cricket huff that I remember was when the Pakistani team were (allegedly) doctoring the ball, scratching it up with their fingernails so that it would deteriorate faster, which makes the ball swing more in the air. I think that Pakistan ended up forfeiting that game or something. And now they may change it to a draw.
That would change the result of the game. This won't. It will just give a player a statistical anomaly. Mebbe it helps his WHIP too? But the result of the game stays the same.

ReplyDeleteWhat does a protest during cricket consist of? complaining the tea isn't hot enough?
