I still love those funny turtles though
Besides, who's to say that a new product isn't newsworthy?
I had not heard of these VNR's. So a company can come up with a story that's basically an ad, then give it to a news station and they can run it as is, edit it however they want or re-voice it, and they call that journalism? Clearly The Onion & The Daily Show are in the wrong "fake news" business.
You can take a video made by a "publicist" and pretend that (s)he's a "reporter" for the news station? WTF?
I'm not sure why I'm really shocked at this, but I'm really shocked at this.
