LoC Fun Facts
Some time in the last few days, LoC rolled out it's 2000th label. Currently there are 2006, including today's newest: The Dumbshine State. In a Word document in 8-point font, the list is 35 pages long.
If each label were a dead grey squirrel laid snout-to-anus, they would stretch approximately two and a half Chicago city blocks, in case you are having trouble visualizing it.
So we're closing in on 4000 posts, and we have 2000 labels? How unprecise of us. We should probably have an awards show for our labels - most used label, most innovative label, best use of a label (funny, serious and puzzled, sad categories), most bushian label (non bushian, dumbya categories), and so forth. We could come up with as many categories as labels, but I'm sure Fung needs a Suga Mommie will rack up the most awards.
When did Information Technologies Manager = Programmer? When exactly? We have a word for people that write code: Programmers. Not IT Managers. You should know. You're a Libratorr. It is your purpose to know such things, or to know where to find them out anyway.
So add Libratorr to the list of things that ain't what they used to be.
